Shannon de Winnaar
Mrs. Shannon is a South African born Australian who has been living in Singapore for 5 years. She has a Bachelor of Education with a major in Mathematics from Notre Dame University, Australia. Mrs. Shannon holds a certificate in Leadership and Management from the University of Melbourne. She has experience working with Australian, British, American, and International Baccalaureate curricula, in Western Australia, London, and Singapore.
Mrs. Shannon believes working in education is a privilege and she feels fortunate to have it both as a career and a part of her everyday life. Mrs. Shannon has a strong desire to develop student potential through hands-on, inquiry teaching, and learning strategies. She strives to create a school where children feel safe to share their ideas, that supports risk-taking and encourages children to have a go.
Ms. Rekha has completed a Post Graduate Diploma of Teaching from the University of Melbourne, Australia and a Masters of Teaching from the University of Melbourne, Australia and has a certificate from Cambridge University for IGCSC Science.
She also has a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Biomedical Science) from the University of Bradford; a Graduate Diploma in Business and Finance from the University of Southern Cross Australia, Singapore.
Mrs. Rekha has taught in Australia, Thailand and Singapore. She has been working in education for more than 15 years and has taken on many roles. Her most recent role was looking at the pedagogy, content creation and curriculum design, the use of ITC and STEAM to enhance learning and planning assessment.
Mrs. Rekha enjoys spending time with her 2 young daughters. She also spends her time relaxing and doing yoga.
Teacher, Inclusion Coordinator
Ms. Vanessa is British and has been living in Singapore for 2 years. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Manchester and a Masters in Psychology in Educational Development from Leeds Beckett University.
Ms. Vanessa also has a BA Honours Degree in Product Design and a Foundation Degree in Art and Design from the University of Salford.
Ms. Vanessa has been working with children since 2009 in many different roles. Her most recent role had a strong emphasis on social, behavioral, and educational psychology, curriculum development, adapting material for inclusion, and teaching for individual needs. Ms. Vanessa takes on a leadership role of inclusion coordinator, supporting students with specific needs.
Ms. Leanne has a BA (Honours) majoring in English Literature and Art History with a teaching qualification in Speech and Drama (NZ Speech Board and Trinity College London) and a CELTA certificate in teaching English as a second language. She has several years of experience working as an ESL instructor in Japan and Singapore.
Ms. Leanne is also trained in photography and owns her own photography business. She enjoys exploring Singapore in search of the best coffee, traveling, photography and the arts.
Student Support Assistant
Mrs. Karolina has a master’s degree in Pedagogy specializing in Revalidation (advanced clinical theory of specific needs) and a Diploma in Child Care and Playwork. She has a vast career working in education in special needs support, teacher assistant, supervisor, and co-ordinator for extended services roles.
Mrs. Karolina loves traveling to see other countries to learn about other cultures and helping local communities, reading, and exercising especially yoga. She enjoys baking as well.
Parent Communication Officer, Administrator
Ms Leena is British and have been living in Singapore for over 5 years. She has a Joint Bachelors degree in Sociology and Media Studies, having studied at University of London.
Leena has recently taken some time off to care for her first child. Prior to that she worked in Public Relations in Singapore and London. In her spare time Leena likes to spend time with her family, learn Indian classical dancing and explore new cultures through traveling.
